Pain is in the air that is not hard to see
Too many kids having to fend for themselves, kids as young as you and me
Parents gone no one left to help him through the night
The only way he can survive is if he wins the fight
His family is gone and nothing is the same
He wants to go back to the past but too many things have changed
His sister was the only one to ever understand
She was the only one who held his hand
People picked on him just because he was small
But the saddest part was when he was in danger he had no one to call
Kids hated him because he was the best
He was better that all of the rest
Everyone knew he made his army to win
But if he wasn't there then no one could of guessed how bad everything could have been
He was the biggest change in his time
He was the smartest of his kind
He was determined to be something just another kid
But what he had done no one could of believe that he did
Two many lives taken in just a year
No one would of guessed that each night he would shed tears
His life just keeps falling apart
But to the adults he just another piece of art
He has pain in his eyes
But the sad part is no one will ever realize
His sister is the only one that can make him smile
But to get to him she would have to go miles
But everything changes sooner or later
After everything that he has been through no one knows if he can make it
So many bad times that are all in the past
He is just glad that forever does not always last
Sometimes he just wants to give up and never try
But in the end of the day all he wants to do is cry
All of the kids look up to him, what he has done is better than a dream
He's a role model to them, they love him more than it will ever seem
Four years later he's back at home
No one is by his side , he's all alone
Nothing will ever be the same
Cause in the past to many things have changed
He is the future and they can only hope for is to be bright
But now it just depends if he can win the fight
They know he's good and he knows it too
He is the only soldier that has been so true
He wants to give up and quit trying
Cause after it all he just wants to start crying
The future is bright and it's all because of him
He didn't believe in himself so he left that up to them
What ever doesn't kill someone will only make him stronger
And because of him all of our life's will be longer
