Smile

by Whitey   Oct 9, 2006

Your smile is my contentment,
When your eyes are full of joy.
I feel that perfect peace,
Like when I was just a boy.

Your smile takes my pain,
And tosses it aside.
Like shelter from the rain,
I've found a place to hide.

Your smile brings me light,
Even in the darkest hour.
A new moon through the night,
Girl, where'd you get that power?

Your smile's all I want to see,
Every hour of every day.
Don't take that away from me,
Please never go away.

Your smile finds my heart,
Through the fog and clouds.
Even if we are apart,
I have memories for now.

Your smile is all I seek,
My joy, my peace, my love.
Every day of every week,
Like I've died and gone above.

So, girl, I want to thank you,
For the joy you give to me.
With just a smile you change my life,
You truly set me free.
