Forgotten Poems

We search for the words to write
And pen in such a way
That the readers will be moved to vote
And give their own little say

But within a few days of posting
These poems fade into the back
Awaiting something new to come
And take over the space they had

Just because you search harder
To find somebody's old write
Doesn't mean it isn't worth reading
But like wine it got better with time

The words have as much meaning now
As when they were penned long ago
They can still reach your heart
And touch the deepest part of your soul

So please read the forgotten poems
And hear the poet's inspiring words
Because we write to be read by others
Not to be left unheard
