Time Stands Still

"If I die before
I wake, rescue
me with your
smile"
As I hear these
words slip through
your lips and into
my ears,
time stops.

Sometimes when
I'm alone in my
room, I hold onto
my pillow and
sob happy tears.
The tears mix
with all the
memories we
share.

I bury myself,
and wiping the
tears with your
voice on the
other end,
you're such a
God-send;
and I know in
you I've found
my best friend.

Standing, your
arms wrapped
around me,
holding me
tight,
I close my
eyes and take
in the moment;
still I can't get
enough.

Your smile,
your laugh,
the look in
your eyes
when you
look my way.

Your voice,
your eyes
the way you
make me feel,
I find,
is bigger than
you and I.

Still I know
when I'm with
you...

time stands
still.

    Haha you were a little off, it wasnt about me and the world conflicting, the conflict was between me and a certain trait that i had come to realize. I realized that i got into relationships just to make myslef feel less alone, and more purposeful. like without even feeling nething fo rhte person in return, and this one girl made me realize it. I was like an intoxicating substance because of the disguise i wore. like i made it look like i was in love but really was building up to their destruction of heart break. but this one girl i want to love so bad, i think she deserves it but i cant because somethings missing. and the end is a fantasy about being able to feel for her and actually love her. well ne ways now to your poem haha as we agreed. well your poem seems to be about what i want to feel for this girl. about having someone that can stop the second hand and break the binding time. im happy for you if your still together if not then there are otehr ppl out there so dont feel alone.
