Heartstrings

by Twisted Heart   Oct 10, 2006

Given with magic, I hung from the moon
Heartstrings attached with Elmer's glue
Each one placed with gentle care
For the night to kiss with it's misty air.

Each heart that lingered up in the sky
Had met with resistance unable to fly
So I found a way to give flight to the hearts
That were weighted with doubt and pulled apart.

I see the hearts, as the night's gentle breeze
Lifts up the strings with such beauty and ease
Giving a pull, from the tip of the moon
And floating hearts dance to a whimsical tune.

Down to the ground they scatter about
New birth of love in the face of their doubt
Enchanted by stars and the touch of the moon
Attached to the strings with Elmer's glue.
