I skipped a stone across a lake last night
And thought about that pebbles magic flight
It left my hand at such an awesome speed
No cheetah in a race could take the lead
But then it landed with a final stop
And in the middle of the lake did plop
So I turned my face towards open land
And looked for a smooth pebble once again
I found a stone to throw with perfect ease
And threw it farther than a man could please
Then looked back at the lake before my eyes
And saw the small rain puddle I despise
And so I finished walking on to school
Why is life so pathetic and so cruel
