Help

by Broken Dreams   Oct 10, 2006

A wall is slowly building
Blocking out the world
The light is getting farther
The darkness is unfurled

I see the sharpness glisten
As red drops fall like rain
The stains spread on the carpet
Making one long bloody lane

My arms is tattooed deeply
Without needles and ink
The scars will never leave me
It lets me never think

The wall is all around me
No longer is there light
I'm safe inside my fortress
Forever hid by night

The silver shines obscenely
The blood glitters anew
The carpet slowly darkens
To a very dark maroon

My arm no longer works
Neither do my feet
I think I went too deeply
What is all that heat

My funeral is silent
No one ever knew
How deeply all the scars went
The damage pain could do

As everyone left the graveyard
I called out one farewell
One girl turned and heard me
She'll be the next in hell

Don't be afraid to listen
When someone doesn't speak
The silence spoke of mountains
The quiet gave a peek

My grave gets filled with dirt
The girl returns to see
I look out at her face
She reminds me of me

No one sees her slowly wasting
As the tears no longer come
No one tried to save her
Finally I lead her home

Her funeral is silent
No one ever saw
She fell apart that faithful morn
And smiled nevermore

And as they left the graveyard
She called one last goodbye
A boy turned and nodded
I'll be ready to say hi

Unless somebody sees it
And finally stops the trend
So there are no new gravestones
From teens untimely end

The wall is built around him
She sees him lose his smile
She simply walks right by him
For every hard walked mile

And when he starts to falter
It's she who leads him on
Until he's finally able
To find a rock to sit upon

No grave will he encounter
No coffin be his bed
She finally stopped the circle
His soul is being fed

Next time you see a graveyard
Think of those in need
Don't ignore the silence
But become the one to lead

Help those who have turned
To knifes and high built walls
Help them when they falter
And catch them when they fall

Stop the trend from spreading
Stop this fell disease
Have mercy on the lonely
Help us all if you can...please!
