Even angels cry too

You told me everything I needed to hear,
The way i made your day
Except the thing i needed the most
Three words i longed you'd say
You called me your angel
The one who made you smile
Who painted Grey skies blue
Even if it was for just a while.
You came to me when you were weak
And told me all your fears
And I was the one who stayed to listen
Even if it caused me tears
I stayed awake late at night
So you could rest at ease
Knowing that I'd always be here for you
While i was dying on my knees.
You told me to trust you
That you'd always be by my side
And I let you in hoping you'd keep your promise
But now i know you lied
When I cried you turned your back
and pretended you didn't know
Because angels were to strong to cry
and had no feelings to show
But you didn't care when you left me
And took my heart along the way
Even though you tore it apart,
I still wished that you would stay
This angel you know can't hate you
For the way you've let her down
Because in her eyes your'e too perfect
Even though she wears a frown.
She hates to see you cry,
When nothings going right
So she keeps you in her prayers
And watches over you at night
So sleep well tonight my dear,
I really hope you do,
because tomorrow a new day comes
and you'll learn that even angels cry too.
