Little girl

by Ellieh   Oct 11, 2006

She sits in the corner
alone and afraid
torn is her dress
lose are her braids

Tears stream down her bruised face
shes crying for a mother to love her
a father to care
a brother to defend her
although they're all not there

The screaming and shouting starts
if only you could hear the rapid beating of her heart
each curse,
each shout
she wimpers in pain
shes the one with all the blame

Alone in her room late at night
she lies there bathed in fright
will he come tonight?
Silent footfalls outside her door
breath held eyes shut tightly

he falls onto her bed
grabbing her hair and ripping her dress
she cries he hits her
pain explodes in her small body
ripping, clawing pushing pain
and yet to him its all a sick twisted game
theres nothing she can do
but hide and lick her wounds

it happens every night
her soul cant take flight
