The Destruction of a lie...

by Nicole   Oct 12, 2006

Lies are told
The truth, no one knows.
I thought you were my friend?
Friends don't lie to each other.
We look to comfort one another.
I don't know where we went wrong.
I know that I was a good friend,
You should have held up your end
Of our friendship bargain.
It was a 50-50 situation.
Which it is no more.
It is nothing. Empty like air.
All because of a lie.
Why?

Short, but very clear-stated poem. Nice job. THe only line I didn't like was
    "Of our friendship bargain."

I think you should replace "of" with something else.
