Best Friends

You said I was your best friend,
And I said you were mine too,
But from the way things have been lately,
I don't think you were true.

You've been acting different towards me,
I'm not sure what to do.
I just want you to know,
I will always be here for you.

We use to be so close,
But now it feels like you're slipping away,
I don't want to lose you,
Please don't leave me; stay.

You are the bestest friend I ever had,
No one can even compare,
Without you in my life,
I'd start to shed tears.

Please don't push me out of your life,
You are all I have right now.
Friends forever is what you said,
I will find away to help you somehow.

You're all I ever wanted in a friend,
You're one that I adore,
Best friends I hope we stay,
Forever and so much more.

    Great poem. I know how hard it can be to write about a topic like that...amazing job with it! Flow is flawless and your word choice is great. My favorite line is:

    ''You are the bestest friend I ever had"

    I love the word "bestest'' in it because it really shows on a personal level and a friendship that is strong =D
