The Brave Soldier

Written by a guy....
to a girl...
the day he dies...

Please go on,
as hard as it can be.
Even if,
its without me.

I'm sorry I'm leaving,
but I have to.
But no matter what,
I still love you.

My one regret,
is I can't say goodbye.
Because,
I don't want to see you cry.

I went in the army,
and I wouldn't take that back.
Even though,
I was attacked.

I did it for,
the USA.
I'm doing my best,
to still be brave.

I know I'm dying,
bit by bit.
Just from one,
tiny bullet.

I want one last chance,
to hold your hand.
Like at the beach,
in the sand.

But now my goal,
has been fulfilled.
I fought my best,
until I was killed.

The soldier died five minutes after he wrote this, he was in a small over crowded hospital with millions of heros dying because they we're there to help the US.
The poem is dedicated to all of the friends and familys of the American soldiers who were killed in
Iraq.
