I used to be terrified
Of letting someone in my heart
But then you came into my life
I surrendered to Cupid's dart

It was the best thing i ever did
Cos you showed me how it could be
You shone a light straight through the dark
Allowed my eyes to finally see

It felt like my world was coming together
Although it took a lengthy time
Love can be hard, it's a well known fact
But it's worth it when your heart shines

I don't want to ever let you go
Cos the love i have is too strong
It's funny how you know it's real
Despite not being together that long

I know sometimes its difficult
Keeping hold of each other is tough
So I'm thankful for every single day
That i still have your precious love

We have our bad days i won't deny
But those days i never regret
It stops us taking love for granted
And never lets us forget...

That love is not as easy thing
It's something special, unique and true
It's a rare and fragile feeling
