The secret

The tear drops
and thoughts
of you and her
and the something you were

the lies
and ties
to keep it going
and the stuff you two weren't showing

but in the end
it was all pretend
like a fairytale
and yet it failed

what could have been
what went wrong then
they were so perfect
and yet it wasn't worth it

to show how they felt
instead of the lies they dealt
to one another
they hid the others

so perfect they were
and yet so unsure
i guess they got scared
at the feelings they never shared

the secret they hold
