A Letter to the Pregnant Girl

by AngelaRose   Oct 14, 2006

Dear Little Pregnant Girl,
Dry your eyes
I realize that it was a mistake
and it wasn't supposed to happen like this...
But that doesn't change things
You've gotta pick yourself up off the ground
And Hold your head High
I know you're thinking,
"How did one night lead to all this?"
You thought you had Friends
They were there when the Times were Good
And your legs were Open
But when Reality came Knocking
they Scattered
like Roaches from the Kitchen Light
at 3AM
You thought you had a Man, too
But he was
Gone With The Wind
before the Pregnancy Test even came back
So now you've got
No One
And all this Responsibility
with only a few months
to figure it out
Well...
I CAN'T say, "I know how you feel,"
cause I've never been in this
Situation,
so I don't.
But...
I CAN give you
a Shoulder to Lean on
and Cry on
cause we all need One every now and then
And that's all I've got to Offer...
So, I hope that's enough.

Sincerely,
A Friend
