Gray Love

I went outside today,
Through that friendly, creakind backdoor.
I danced across the crunchy green grass,
My toes curling as they mixed with fresh dirt.
I held my hands up high above my head,
I smiled at the sky,
My one true best friend.
I snatched my tangly brown hair back from the wind,
You know how she always plays with it.
And I think, this amount of beauty must be a sin...
A cloud rolled over the sun,
And I knew the bright, cheery day was done.
I sighed a content little sigh,
and fell back onto the soft grass.
The sky began to turn grey,
And all of my stress and my worries began to fade.
The rain began to sprinkle gently across myself,
And it showered the grass.
Steadly it got harder,
And the drops were beginning to fall fast.
I jumped up from the ground,
And stood up enthusiastically,
Spinning round and round.
I had never felt quite so energized,
And all my dreary thoughts were transformed to smiles.
I fell asleep that night,
Under the stars and the hard rain.
I let go of all frustration,
Of all my pain.
All that was flowing through my mind,
Was the fresh, wet, icy air,
And steady thoughts of you...
Where are you right now? Where?
And when I awoke, I noticed something
Beautiful....
As I gazed at the grey clouds boiling above me,
I noticed this thing with a start.
The clouds had formed
An utterly perfect h e a r t
