Her Ghost

by Strider   Oct 14, 2006

Her Ghost

I tie my hands to the wheel
Down to the stone I quietly kneel
Brush off the leaves against the hedge
I take one step closer to this ledge

In the pond I see her reflection
In my mind I forget her affection
She is a ghost in my eyes
Her spirit will fly high in these skies

In the mist she waits for her demise
This lie will be her killing surprise
The horseman comes to take her away
A ghost in the fog wishes she would play

Three steps closer to her end
She only wants to find a friend
In my dreams she is my song
This is the pain I have waited for so long

And so I close this story
If only I could have said I was sorry
The chances have come and gone
In my dreams I hear her playing our song

This was such a sad poem and i don't really know ex actually what it's about but it was amazing and i can't explain it and how i loved it so much, I liked the end the most it described much more than the beginning, great poem.
