I pledge to love this world
In honesty and allegiance
I promise to remain composed
In dignity and obedience

I promise to love this world
With everything I have got
I will stand up and fight for it
But my salvation cannot be bought

I hope to protect this world
From the own sins that I see
But the atrocities that fill this earth
Are getting too much for me

I once pledged to love this world
In honesty and allegiance
But now I have succumbed to stone
From other people's disobedience

I once promised to love this world
With everything that I knew
But now nobody stands up for it
The good times are passing through

I once hoped to protect this world
From the sins that remain withdrawn
But the atrocities have taken over
And the world I loved has gone

    I loved the concept of this poem. It seems like you made a deal to yourself when you were little && later in life it all just went down hill. It showed what you lost && what you begin to believe i think this is an amazing poem && your talented with doing a good job at it.

    Awh, another sad poem hun. I didnt like this one as much but it was still good. The emotion was a little weak I felt. The descriptions and flow were good though. Keep up the good work sweetie. 5/5
