Her Last Sunset

by Lady Nik   Oct 14, 2006

Swinging on her swing set. The wind blowing her brown hair. The sand beneath her feet. Memories in her head. This is her last sunset.

Running to the sound of her mother's voice. Feeling her mother's love through her warm hug. Remembering how close they were. Forgetting how her mother let her go.

Kissing her mother goodbye. Closing her mother's eyes. Sitting with her father remembering her mother's smile. She is to little to realize her mother died.

Growing up to be a smart young women. She never left her heart open. She blamed herself for her mothers death. Now she loves no one else. And whenever she lies down to rest she remembers her last sunset.
