Once Upon a Time

by DemonicSecrets   Oct 14, 2006

I'm writing a story in my head that no one will ever read

It's a fascinating story, full of pain and love and need

But the problem with this story is the fact I cannot say

That the life inside the story is actually my life every day

There's a drama in every moment; every sentimental glance

This story will never surface because I'll never take the chance

For that someone may read it and judge me another way

There's a story in every moment; a continuous play

But one day I will die and no one will ever know

That there even was a story inside my mind to show

My friends will never learn that when you turn a page

Another adventure with them begins with every waking day

If you ever see me and you know I'm not really there for sure

Just smile and think that maybe I'm writing a bit more

I live my life in a totally different state of mind

Than anyone will ever know and anyone will ever find

There's an open book inside my head and I hold the key

To write this special story that no one will ever see

I wish that I was able to let you through the curtain in my head

That one day you'll find the words that have never been read

I'll put this story onto paper before I leave my life behind

So one day someone will remember I existed, Once Upon A Time
