We talked for hours on the phone
And we laughed until we cried
We were best friends as we would say
Neither of us lied

We made promises
We vowed we both would keep

Once I went to sleep

We were the perfect couple
But just as best friends
We thought will things be the same
Once the summer ends

School was a hassle
And sports soon started
Our hearts separated
We soon parted

You had your friends
And I had mine
We soon forgot to call
We just didn't have time
