As we sit by this river
As we sit and converse
I turn to my left due to your silence
I see a tear
Run slowly down, your soft cheek.
Have I caused this?
Surely not.
But if not then why do I feel guilty
Why do you not speak?
When I saw that tear, when I saw it run
My heart, it sobbed.
My heart, it wept.
I saw your pain,
I felt it too.
To feel you’re hurt,
Was too much to feel.
To see that tear,
Made me wish I was blind.
