So pale, translucent
And she stands, still proud
Darkening with the night
Royal purple flush
From the marks that adorn her
With silver in her ebony hair
She stands
Her eyes staring up
Watching the stars flicker
For she cannot help but blink
And as the tears flow
They seem as shooting comets
Racing across the sky
Blurred in vision
And she's so still
Like a statue
Stood in salute
Fading out of memory
Out of sight
For the night darkens
And she is waning
