I still hear your voice in gusts of wind.

by LostInConfusion   Oct 15, 2006

It ate away at his soul.
And like rare rays of sun around here.
Between every break and every hole.
He would shed one single tear.

Tell me his plans, his real dream.
And faster than it came.
It fell apart to the worse extreme.
Unconsciously used my name for blame.

But holding on I delt.
And more and more I learned.
I wasn't the only one the hurting felt.
And yet again, his seasons turned.

Again I knew.
This pain would take intermission.
Telling me what he had been through.
I felt sorrow in such a position.

And words i'll never forget.
Ones I use everyday.
No matter what the threat.
I heard him say.

"Take care of them, they need you to be the best they've got."
