Leave

by courtney   Oct 15, 2006

You say you don't like her,
You say don't love her,
You say you don't want to be with her,
And still you can't leave her.

You can't be happy with her,
You can't stay true to her,
You can't even say her name,
And yet you still can't leave her.

You complain about her attitude,
You complain about how controlling she is,
You complain that she is never happy with the things you do,
And behold, you still can't leave her.

You want to see me
You hold and you kiss me,
You tell me you care and miss me,
But you can't be with me as you can't leave her.

You have broken this foolish heart all over again,
You have placed a hurt deep within,
You have lost something so pure and true,
All because you couldn't leave her.
