Best friends aren't lazy friends

You are such a cruel friend,
it is sad but it is true.
I ask you to do something,
but it you just won't do.
I need it so badly,
But you simply just say
these words that go put a
damper on my day
"but i don't have it with me,
I don't want to go get it ."
And then all together you go and
forget it.
You sit over there,
just across the room,
but i jokingly sit here and text message you.
we are having a blast, until realize after a look
and then i speedily text you
"please help find book!!!"
you reply with a simple n-o.
and I never saw it again.
i never got to see how the story ends!
I half-heartily text back
"lol you're so cruel, you wouldn't do
n e thing if i was dying right next to you!!"
at the time it didn't phase me,
it was just a joke,
but after realizing it was true,
my smile forever broke.
you are my "best friend"
Ha yea right.
A best friend is someone
who gets the job done right.
so don't ever again
plead
"I'd do the same thing for you!!!"
because we both very well know,
that's simply not true.
