Two Lover's Departure

by ntv650   Oct 16, 2006

Love is... a wonderful thing the boy said to himself as he watched lovers depart.
I've known such corruption in todays love. Filled with adultery, grief and wanton lust.
Contemptuous words float from his mouth to her ear and yet neither face does blush.
And come tomorrow, when her hair is not so colourful and his eyes no longer sparkling,
You will find yesterday's love excused with sentences meaningless and obtuse.
From what nothing has come nothing results, equal minds remain equally untouched

Love can be the shadow of a lonely man that bellows in the wind, grows in the sun.
Dangers escorting that same emotional four-letter word accidentally find that man.
He will meet a lady, she'll not reject and as time always does time will do the rest.
And only in her transcence and in his eyes, will she perceive her love not as blind,
Words are passed, he sheds a tear and she more, true love keeps him brave and strong.
But this lady he met finds herself lost in torment between who he is and what she wants.

Love can be the person appearing in your darkness at night or the dawn of my morning
I've seen it disguised and mistaken in life's bare necessities comfort, lust and friendship.
But love is a luxury too easily accepted by all but those that must kiss a secret kiss.
Like the girl that wants to kiss the other girl or the boy that shouldn't like other boys,
Misunderstanding is the word when these things find the wrong time, the wrong place.
But they struggle at curiosity and they cry angrily at society wanting to destroy them.

Love has been described the world's greatest sorrow, the world's greatest joy.
I have been touched by platonic love, blessed with the love of a sister, mother and father.
Some say it is their purpose in live, their single divine desire, simply a state of mind.
But to me love is clearly defined, it is not to be bound by words maybe by our gestures,
Through the meeting of eyes or passionate love or the unification of allied minds.
But Love truly can be described by silent words, breathless moments and beating hearts.
