Sitting here, looking off into space
Thinking about our greatest trips and memories
Funny how the years where one big waste
Considering how great things used to be
I'm trying to write this poem to express
The feelings I have inside
But I keep fumbling and getting depressed
Thinking of how we both lied
How we promised to be true
And love each other til death do us part
But now I am sitting here blue
Thinking of how we've grown apart
I don't know if I was ever in love with you
But I loved you just the same
Moving on is not what I wanted to do
But arguing away my life was way too lame
I wish you a better tomorrow,
I wish you happiness in your life
Hopefully there will be no sorrow
Or days filled with distance and strife
I'm sorry I couldn't be the wife you wanted
Or the best friend you never had
Seems like we both are broken hearted
Thinking how everything ended so bad
Well, hats off to you my one true hero,
I hope we can love each other again
Just because we have hit ground zero
Doesn't mean that we can't be friends.
Have a great life and I will always hold you close.
