Tears for a Degrading Society

by darxtar   Oct 17, 2006

For the thousand whispers that aren't heard above the wind
For a hundred deepest secrets never known
For countless pure white truths tainted black by all the lies
And for all of true loves feelings never shown.

Through all the pain and suffering of a crying child
Through every broken heart that's on the mend
Through painful situations of devastating loss
And through lovers parting ways in their end.

In trying times of need when there's no one else around
In pointless acts of hate on fellow man
In desperate situations that justify cruel acts
And in ending life before its just began.

I cry.

I cry for endless hate that is raining down on us
I cry for every person, not just for some
I cry because this life is now what it was never meant to be
And I cry for what we truly have become.

If one person, yes but one, would stand up to this injustice
If one person said they won't accept their fate
If one person showed the world the lie that we're all living
Imagine what one person could create.
