Why Cant I?

Why cant I understand his heart?
Not knowing what he feels breaks me apart.
Why cant I read the look in his eye?
Not knowing always makes me cry.
Why cant I ask him if he loves me?
I think Im scared, he wont really see
Who i can be, and what I can achieve
Why cant I tell him I need him to stay alive?
Maybe I just hope my stupid love will pass on by.
