Nothing Left

by Sharlene   Oct 17, 2006

Hatred brews inside of me
All love left have ran out
Anger overrules my mind
So all I do is shout
Shout and scream behind closed door
Cry hard and stomp my feet
Lost everything that meant anything
So what else do I seek?
You stare at me you see Jekyll
Dig inside and you’ll meet Hyde
You say my life it looks so easy
So come on lets take a ride
My life is like the Midas touch
Except things don’t turn to gold
Instead they die and crumple up
New things transform to old
In my eyes you see the hate
Can hear the bitterness in my talk
And if you still can't get the picture
Than watch the way I walk
My tears they trug hard down my cheeks
Behind they leave a mark
A mark that thrives inside of me
And turns my soul so dark
Lost everything that meant anything
So what is there to do?
When the only person left to love you back
Still standing there is you
