And The Dream Comes

by Rain   Oct 17, 2006

And my dream comes...
Whispering quietly among barely conscious minds
Then comes the gentle wind sighing
Unspoken words from my mind
Mix along to form this rhyme
And with along it comes hither
Slowly awakening in the depths of my mind
A dream filled with longing, passion, and time
Comes along on the wings of a butterfly
It comes here to kiss my sadness away
Feather light touches
Upon my back
The scars I hide so carefully
You seem to find them so easily
Then you kisst them gentle
And cried not for what they look like
But for the pain they caused
And then time seems to stop as you
Took me into your arms
Holding me like I’m only yours
And now I can hear the sighing of the wind
I open my eyes
And realize that once again
It was only a dream
I stand up as twilight falls
I think I hear a whispered echo among the trees
I turn around and for a split second
Your standing there waiting
To sweep me up in your arms
Tell me that you love me
But once again I shake my head
And such vivid thoughts
Exit my head
As I walk home in the dark
I sigh and tell my self everything will
Be all right
And so the dream comes again...
