Utopia

by misprinted lies   Oct 17, 2006

Salty tears surround her face
The smile that used to exist
Disappears without a trace
Replaced with a blank expression

Those that look upon her
Cannot understand
Thinking of a fairytale
A non-existing wonderland

Where she could fly
Way up high past the clouds
To a place where nothing matters
A place where hurt is unknown

Dreaming of a utopia
That is so far out of reach
Too unbelivable to grasp
She doesn't believe in miracles

So every night
She looks up to the dark, gray sky
Searching for an answer
Searching for a reason why

A reason why she feels so lost
and why she can't be found
A reason why it's so hard to breathe
Now that he isn't around
