We open our eyes
To a new surprise
Today is Christmas day

We cheer for joy
With every toy
We run and jump and play

We go over granny’s
For a Christmas breakfast
I share my mashed potatoes

I open my gifts
And what do I see
Clothes, books, oo! Play dough!

We begin our carols
I start chewing on candy
My mom gets mad and calls daddy

Instead I yell around the room
The house turns upside down with a boom
