I am what I am

You try to change me,
Make me like the girl you love before me.
And yes, I do love you,
But cant you put her behind you?

You have to pick between me or her,
But I'm not so sure.
She doesn't love you,
So you settle for me.

Stop trying to change me.
Because I am what I am, you see.
Ill never as good as her to you,
So who needs you.

    Good start. I like the message, don't change because of someone else. You may want to add more descriptions and imagery. The ending was a bit confusing and abrubt.
