Isn't it so interesting how I was lured to you.
Everywhere I went, anywhere I clicked,
your name was what always caught my eye.
Strangely, I knew there was something about you,
something that I had to get to know.
Even though it was nothing like me,
I had to give it a try.
From the moment we started talking,
I knew you were different.
Immediately all my frowns were turned up-sided-down.
Everything you said brought smiles to my face.
We connected so well
and we were so much alike.
Anything I had to say you would listen,
understand and could relate to.
I felt that I could trust you,
or tell you anything that needs to be said.
I didn't even know you,
but already you were special to me.
You were so comforting,
and made me feel so special again.
I honestly can say, I've never has such smiles on my face.
I never went to bed wishing for the next day.
I've only known you for a few days,
but I'm already thanking God for you.
You have given my my hope and faith back.
You made a big difference in such a short while.
Thank you for simply being there.
Thank you for listening and caring.
Thank you for coming into my life.
But most importantly,
thank you for making me so happy just to have you around.

This poem is dedicated to a great new friend of mine. Like the poem says, even though we only met, you have already made an impact on my life.
