Ticking like a clock.
It starts to beat faster,
Then comes to a stop.

And so does the world,
As everything just disappears.
You're standing right in front of me,
And I'm standing there in tears.

But you walk right by,
As if I'm not even there.
I'm falling so deep,
Why don't you care?

Your friends walk by with smirks,
And my knees begin to grow weak.
I try to let out my voice,
But it refuses to speak.

I attempt to talk to you,
But all that comes out is silence.
The atmosphere between us,
It always seems so dense.

Walking by you,
With my head down low.
I can't rush these feelings,
Gotta take it slow.

With my heart whimpering,
And my tears without a voice.
I just gotta deal with the heartbreak,
Not like I have a choice.

When a girl falls in love,
She can't control her heart.
But you have the power,
To love her, or tear her apart.
