Lady

(I wasn't sure where to put this but i thought it was kinda a lost love poem cos i lost one of the greatest loves ever...)

She was the sweetest dog ever
Such a lovely temperament
Fur the colour of angel's wings
I'm sure she was heaven sent

She was a hint of Border collie
But an overall Labrador
White apart from spots on her ears
A puppy that everyone adored

She always had the time to play
Never once did she bite or snap
Even when she got really big
She still tried to sit on your lap

She'd grown up into a lovely dog
So caring, regal and wise
Brought countless puppies into the world
Yet she kept the youth in her eyes

But as the years passed us by
She started to lose her sight
Yet she still kept up high spirits
Wouldn't give in without a fight

She lived until a ripe eighteen
Before she eventually passed away
She was the best dog ever, my best friend
And I miss her every day ©

(Dedicated to my gorgeous Lady. You'll always be my furry angel!)

+.+ Oh that's sad. I can totally relate, cuz I just lost my dog champy. My mum ran him over in front of me (accidently of course) on my birthday party. Let's just say it wasn't the best birthday I've ever had. But at least Champy and Lady are in heaven were they can see. Lol. My dog was going blind too. It's a really nice poem. Good work 4/5 +.+
