When words escape
They're silent
Guns without bullets are fired
As the rage in your eyes grows more violent.
When cannons aren't bursting
I can still see the smoke
Left over from the last war
Fought in this so called home.
Your smiles aren't fooling me
Cause I'm not little anymore
I've grown ears to hear the yelling
And eyes to see you walk out the door.
All I can do is wish is wasn't like this
That I could love both of you
But I've grown to realize that "wishes"
Are just silly little things that don't come true.
