Screaming So Loud

Searching for something
That's just not there.
Thoughts enter my mind,
It's just not fair.

Time passing by;
A blur of colors and faces.
Wishing it would slow;
All I see are phantom places.

Give me a sign,
A reason to try.
Just one sign
Before life passes me by.

Everything's black and white
And at the same time not.
Can't see through the trees;
An ongoing battle fought.

Interrogating me;
Questions I can't answer.
Why is it that
I have to know the answer?

Screaming so loud,
But no one can hear.
And when I'm alone
It's not the dark I fear.
