When you are here

by Vito   Mar 17, 2004

When you are with me I need nothing else,
When we depart I am by myself.
I feel more incomplete then when I was alone.
But I know I cannot have you,
Your spirit is too free.
You cannot belong to me.

You cannot be owned,
Your spirit is too free.
Costing no more
Then to poke a stick at a crack in dirt.

You are too free,
Too free for me.
