Goodbye

It wasn't long ago when we met,
That day i will never forget.

It was a friendship that was meant to be,
Because no matter what you accepted me.

You were always there to dry my tears,
Always helping me to face my fears.

Your were always there to make me smile,
Even though I was just for a little while.

You are different and special in some kind of way,
Never giving a shit of what people say.

But that's why I love you, so very much,
Only cuz you always stand out from the bunch.

A friendship that must last forever,
A goodbye that should come, no never!

And then I received the news that I must leave,
A news that made me grieve.

And when I told you that soon we were going to be apart, it sadly broke your heart.

A day we wished that would never come,
But it was coming, we couldnt act dumb.

So we cherished our time,
By making up silly rhymes.

And then the day came where we had to say goodbye,
And all we could say was why?

You saw the tears fall down from my cheek,
And then you felt your knees getting weak.

I fell in your arms, and hugged you tight,
For darkness was the only thing that was in sight.

When I would see you again, I wasn\'t sure,
But I felt like a sickness that had no cure.

I whispered in your ear these gentle words,
And to your ears it sounded like a song from a bird.

-My friend its time for me to go,
And find another home.

I thank-you for your laughs, your smiles, your ears, but most importantly your friendship,
Something that must never break or rip.

But before i leave i must ask you one thing,
And please just listen, dont smile, dont sing.

Please dont forget me or our past,
Because in your mind it should always last.

For I shall be back one day,
And please dont forget these words i say.

I hugged you tight, and on your cheek i gave you a kiss,
So many memories i shall miss.

I walked away and climbed into the car,
Knowing that from you i was going really far.

A friendship that should never end,
To you all my love i will send.

These thoughts, these tears, these dreams, thers all for you.
And please let them stick to your heart like glue.

Goodbye for now, but not forever!!
