My Living Drug

by myshiningstar14   Oct 20, 2006

The music smoothers
the sound of my tears.
I can barely hear my
thoughts as they fade
into the words that
illuminate me, so
distinctively.

The words cover the
life this shell posses;
my world disintegrates
and I can free myself
of everything.

I'm trapped,
stuck in love.
I try to hide the
tears, to break
me fall; I feel as
if I'm loosing you.
You're my living
drug, what keeps
me smiling.

Curled inside myself,
my heart screams
your name.
My eyes stiffen,
and inside my
tears fall like china,
like waves crashing
upon a rock.

My heart skips a few
beats,
still I know we'll be
together once again.

I'm lost,
I'm lost without you.
I need you here,
and it's harm to you
I fear.
You're my living drug,
what keeps me breathing.

I wish I could be there,
so you'd be sure how
much I really care.
Still your absence fills me.
The mascara may smear,
and it may be a while
before I hear you;
but behind every tears
lies a billion smiles
hugging my soul
so hard it bleeds for
you.
You're my living drug,
what keeps me from
dying inside.
