How Time Heals

Does time mend troubles or do you forget?
Is forgetting the way time heals?
So can a broken heart be sewn together
Or does it forget how to feel?

In the case of the latter statement
Could you ever again know love?
Would your heart recognize all of it's signs
Or confuse them with what once was?

See, time is merely something that passes
But what you do with the days and years
Is what determines if you heal or forget
The troubles and heartache you hold near
