The only way.

On a hill-top high and far
a lone figure on a road
Where his destination lies
no one but himself know

An emotion he cannot express
A feeling which he does not understand
He cannot objectify it and therefore
it remains to poison his life

The trembling starlight of the skies
avail him on his way
The wailful chirp of insects
remind him of his dismay

The clouds sail by
The grass grows long
as he sits on the weathered grey rock
Bewildered by his task
he dares not ask
only to admit his cowardly dread

As he walks alone and sorrowing
enchantment heals his weary feet
His frozen heart begins to beat,
remembering its ancient heat

In the glade a light is seen
Of stars in shadow shimmering

He has found his end
leaving behind his sorrowful beginning
Still achieving, still pursuing
With a heart for any fate

i know everyone has different tastes but i would not mind any kind of view on this poem.
