Beautiful

(like one of the other poems i posted, this makes up part of a song i wrote for one of my best friends in the world.)

You said i was strong
But i proved you wrong
You said i could make it through.
You said forget all the tears
But i've cried all these years
What more do you want me to do?
Do i mean anything at all to you?
On the outside i look brave
But on the inside I'm just a little girl, out of place in the world.

When i couldn't see
You opened my eyes.
When i didn't know where to go
You pointed me in the right
When i needed you to hold me close
Your arms were already there
When i said that i was Lonely,
You said i was beautiful
Beautiful to you.
