Fall is Here

by Keesha   Oct 22, 2006

Sunlight battles the oncoming chill.
But no victory in this war.
Wind upon wind, dismantles the trees,
crying out the leaves.
Colours litter the sky and ground,
each like a little sun.
Nature shuts her eyes to sleep,
to await the future spring.
Breath rising is steady clouds,
cold holding onto your hands.
Everything is preparing,
for winter will soon arrive.
