Silent Tears and Shades of Gray

by Tamara   Oct 22, 2006

A never ending smile
Appears at the thought of you
Your face so lovely
Almost too good to be true

A smile so charming
You're dragging me in
To the pathways of love
I surrender you win

A glimpse into your eyes
Is all that it takes
I'm fulfilled with happiness
You're my silent escape

To the pathways of love
Where only two can stand
We walk down each path
Holding hand in hand

But that was the past
The present is real
The road became tough
Your heart began to peal

To many times
We stumbled and fell
But this time was different
From your eyes I could tell

You would not be willing
To stand again with me
Your fight to continue was gone
You spoke and set me free

You turned to a new path of love
Leaving me to find my way
Blinded by countless tears
Following paths that led astray

The signs of happiness are deceiving
I'm lost, alone and scared
How could you leave me like this?
Without a sign you even cared?

But even though I'm broken
This smile will not fade
The tears have become only imprints
Silent shades of Grey
