You're over there

by Katie   Oct 22, 2006

YOU'RE OVER THERE,
FIGHTING FOR OUR FREEDOM.
YOU'VE BEEN GONE FOR OVER A YR,
NOW YOU WANT TO GO FOR ANOTHER TWO.

YOU'RE GOING TO MISS SO MUCH,
YOU WON'T KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT ME.
WHAT IF YOU MISS MY WEDDING,
YOU'RE SUPPOSE TO WALK ME DOWN THE AISLE.

YOU'RE MY FATHER,
YOU AREN'T SUPPOSE TO MISS THIS.
I'M SUPPOSE TO BE MOST IMPORTANT,
BUT INSTEAD VOLUNTEERING WAS.

THE AIR FORCE,
HAS ALREADY TAKEN TO MUCH.
DON'T TELL ME,
IT'S GONNA CAUSE YOU TO MISS MY WEDDING.

ACTUALLY I GUESS,
THAT YOU WOULD BE YOUR FAULT.
YOU VOLUNTEERED,
NOW YOU'RE GOING AS A CIVILIAN.

I'M YOUR ONLY LITTLE GIRL,
OUT OF SIX KIDS.
IT'S NOT FAIR TO ME,
NOT TO HAVE YOU AROUND.

I'M 16 DADDY,
I KNOW YOU KNOW THAT.
BUT 2 MORE YEARS,
I'LL BE 18.

DADDY I'M GETTING MARRIED,
DECEMBER OF '08.
ARE YOU GOING TO BE THERE,
OR AM I SUPPOSE TO DEPEND ON SOMEONE ELSE?

* DADDY PLEASE PROMISE TO BE BACK AHEAD OF TIME!! *
