Once, Twice

by Hard to Say   Oct 23, 2006

Fool me once shame on you
Fool me twice shame on me
But if you were fooling yourself
all alone, then who's to blame?
then who's responsible for every tear
that's fallen from your eyes
who's responsible for the deepened marks on your arm
Permanent reminders of the past
the past in which you've tried to forget
has somehow creped into the present
